Meet the face
behind the posts

Welcome to my blog. I am Sanya and I am originally from Sierra Leone.

èsjé (pronounced ess-jay) is my lifestyle blog exploring my design ideas in the hopes of inspiring others to follow their creative passions.

My hope is to inspire and motivate others to know that they too can be creative and explore facets of themselves they never thought possible. This blog, although my escape, has been an encouragement to me to share my knowledge with all you lovely people.

Blog publications will include recipes, DIY projects, vintage finds, handmade jewellery and accessories, hair and beauty tutorials, fashion styling and lots more.

About Me

Growing up in a home that also housed a boutique with an in-house tailor, it was inevitable that my love for fashion would manifest itself sooner or later. In 2007, I bought my first sewing machine and I began to make clothes for myself. The following year, I decided to take a few short fashion courses and started making jewellery and accessories.

As a child, I loved to rummage through my mum's closet to find hidden treasures in the form of clothing, accessories and shoes. As they say, old habits, die hard, thus I spend a huge portion of my spare time seeking out highly fashionable and classic items to add to my vintage collection in fairs, swap shops and thrift shops.

Another hobby of mine is to take old and unused things, repurpose, reconstruct and upcycle them.

During my quest to become healthier, I have followed many eating trends in the past but have finally found a plan that works well for me. I will share a lot of my juices and meal recipes with you on this journey.

Aside from food, I now take better care of my hair and skin and incorporate more organic and natural products in my regimens. I will share some of the products I have concocted with you on the blog.

Welcome to my blog and I look forward to interacting with you all here on èsjé. Please like, comment, follow and subscribe.

Enjoy!!
